The ACUR Website contains numerous resources for academics and professional staff wanting to introduce or amend undergraduate research practice.

ARE YOU

  • Thinking of introducing some research learning in your units but don’t know where to start?

  • Working to Design courses on your own or in a course team?

    • Even if you or your university is not a member of ACUR, you can still search our resources section to find helpful artifacts, suggestions and ideas that you can use in your teaching. One place to start might be the Undergraduate Research Decision-making wheel. This should help to clarify the decisions you need to make. There is lots more help in the ACUR Resources database on specific learning and teaching strategies: inquiry-based learning; research-based learning; Assessment; Capstone units; Ethics applications; Honours courses; generic attributes; work-integrated learning; team-based learning, and much, more. Just enter your interest in the search facility and you will gain ideas, artefacts, examples and also references to follow up.

    • If you have a resource that you would like to disseminate to others, you can add it to the website resources. The website uses a peer review process to ensure the quality of resources, so you won’t see yours immediately. If you add a resource, make sure we know about it by emailing the ACUR administrator so we can carry out the peer review process and make yours public.

    • Also WATCH OUT FOR ACUR NEWS UPDATES to find out about Student Conferences and other events and publications.

  • A senior Staff member with responsibility for strategic initiatives?

    • If your university is an institutional member of ACUR, you have available to you a further range of resources in the members’ only section of the ACUR website. These resources are focused on giving examples of strategic initiatives, and draw upon research that may assist in making a case for undergraduate research in your university.

    • In the members’ only section there is also information about derived from past ACUR Colloquiums including programs, discussions and Videos. There is also information about hosting a future ACUR conference, and a link to the ACUR Discussion Forum. Please note that ACUR also offers consultancy advice based on experience and research in the area of undergraduate research by senior members of the ACUR Executive.
